Report: Guidolin stays at Swansea

Multiple reports suggest Francesco Guidolin has accepted an offer to remain at Swansea City next season.

The former Udinese boss arrived in mid-January and helped steer the team to Premier League safety.

They’ve won four of the last six games, including surprise victories over Chelsea, Liverpool and West Ham United.

According to several different reports from BBC Wales and the Daily Telegraph, the board has offered Guidolin an extended contract.

Congratulations for Ranieri's Leicester

Congratulations are pouring in from Italy after Claudio Ranieri won the Premier League title with Leicester City.

The Foxes secured the title this evening thanks to his old club Chelsea holding Tottenham to a 2-2 draw.

Many fans at Stamford Bridge had signs reading ‘Do it for Claudio’ and sang the manager’s name throughout the often fiery match, which saw Chelsea fight back from 2-0 down.

At the age of 64, Ranieri has won his first career League title, having finished second so many times before.

Ranieri: 'Leicester brotherhood'

Claudio Ranieri told Italian TV Leicester City are “a brotherhood and never give up,” as they could win the Premier League today.

The Foxes can win the Premier League title for the first time in their history if they beat Manchester United at Old Trafford – the Theatre of Dreams.

Their Coach sat down with Sky Sport Italia’s Codice Rosso show to discuss this extraordinary underdog tale.

“I always tell my team to knock on the door and see who is on the other side,” said Ranieri.

Italy drops in UEFA rankings

Italy drop in the UEFA rankings after a poor year as Spain race ahead and England hold fast.

The Italian peninsula crashed out early in the Champions League and the Europa League, and this reflected itself in the new rankings.

Italy are now fourth, on a par with Russia, in the seasonal standings, though they still hold their position in the general standings.

Darmian: ‘More physical in England’

Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian admits he struggled to adapt to English football - “it's more physical and less tactical.”

The Italian international joined the Red Devils from Torino last summer, but after winning praise for his early displays his form dropped-off.

Swansea boss Guidolin in hospital

Swansea City manager Francesco Guidolin has been admitted to hospital with a chest infection, so misses the game with Arsenal.

The former Udinese and Palermo Coach was due to sit on the bench for tonight’s Premier League match.

According to a club statement, he was suffering from flu for a week and did not respond to medical treatment, so has been referred to a hospital in London.

“The specialist felt that the best course of action was for Guidolin to remain in hospital for a few days to receive further treatment.
