Juventus resume Aouar talks

Sky Sport Italia claim Juventus used Marley Ake to resume talks with Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar.

The Bianconeri signed Ake from Olympique Marseille in exchange for Franco Tongya.

It so happens that Ake shares an agent with Aouar, so Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio suggests Juventus used that opportunity to discuss the Lyon talent’s situation.

Aouar had already been heavily linked with Juve and Arsenal last summer and should again be on the market at the end of this season.

Juve chose Chiesa over Aouar

According to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus had both Federico Chiesa and Houssem Aouar in their grasp, but could only sign one.

The Bianconeri secured Chiesa from Fiorentina, on loan with option to buy that is practically an obligation, on deadline day.

“Fabio Paratici is one of those directors who is always working on several fronts at the same time,” Sky Sport Italia pundit Di Marzio told JB Live.

“Up until a few hours before the deadline, Juve had Aouar in their grasp, but could only sign one between him and Chiesa.

Aouar to Juve collapsed because of Bernardeschi?

According to a report of France Football, Houssem Aouar’s possible Juventus move in the summer collapsed because Federico Bernardeschi refused to join the Ligue 1 giants.

The talented 22-year-old was linked with the Old Lady and with Arsenal in the summer but both clubs failed to wrap up a deal to secure his services.

According to the French paper, the Serie A giants had reached an agreement for the promising midfielder.

Juventus had reportedly offered € 50 million plus the loan of Bernardeschi for one season.

Report: No Aouar for Juve

Juventus look to have passed up Houssem Aouar as it is reported the Olympique Lyonnais midfielder is on his way to Arsenal.

Juve had long been linked with Aouar and were thought to be preparing a bid for him earlier in the summer.

However, Telefoot is claiming this evening that whereas they and Barcelona were his preferred destinations, neither made a serious offer for his services.

That would have allowed Arsenal to steal a march, with the Gunners bidding around €40m for the Frenchman.

It’s believed to be a two-horse race between Juve and Manchester City, but the Bianconeri have one very significant advantage.
