Juventus are serious about signing Italy talent Riccardo Calafiori in the summer and are in constant contact with Bologna, reports detail.

The 21-year-old Italian defender has shined in his debut season with the Rossoblu, quickly proving himself to be one of the most exciting defenders in Serie A under breakout coach Thiago Motta, seeing over 2100 minutes of action across 29 matches.

Calafiori is one of many Bologna players to become a popular topic ahead of the summer transfer window, and a call-up to the Italy national team for the upcoming European Championship in Germany could further increase his value.

Calafiori contact

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Juventus do not want to lose to Napoli in the race for Calafiori and have been in constant contact with the Bologna talent over the last few weeks, preparing to launch an offer in the summer.

The Rossoblu want more than €20m for the 21-year-old, especially considering the future resale clause attached to their deal with FC Basel last summer.
