Report: Milan to make new Ajer bid

Milan could make a new attempt to sign Kristoffer Ajer in January, reports Il Corriere della Sera.

The Celtic defender was the man in charge of controlling Zlatan Ibrahimovic in their Europa League meeting on Thursday night in Glasgow.

The Hoops lost 3-1 but the Norwegian defender played a good game.

As per Il Corriere della Sera, Milan could make a new attempt to sign him in the January transfer window.

Milan ask Celtic for Ajer

Milan are back in talks with Celtic for defender Kristoffer Ajer, according to reports in Italy and Scotland, for a loan with option to buy.

The 22-year-old Norway international spent most of his career in Scotland, joining Celtic in 2016.

Both the Herald and Times Sport and Calciomercato.com maintain Milan have again put Ajer on their radar, having already been linked with him in January.

It is also noted that a formal approach has not yet been made, so these are still early days.

Milan after Celtic's Ajer

Milan have reportedly set their sights on Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer after his agent confirmed “he will be leaving Glasgow this summer.”

The 21-year-old Norway international has a contract until June 2022, having been in Scotland since 2016.

“He will not be renewing his contract with Celtic, which means he will be leaving Glasgow this summer,” agent Tore Pedersen told NTB.
