'Arthur affected by Juve talk'

Barcelona boss Quique Setien has conceded that speculation linking Arthur with Juventus is ‘certainly affecting him’.

“If the rumours about Arthur and Juve are true, they’re certainly affecting him,” Setien said after the game.

Paratici: 'Arthur has to be convinced'

Juventus director Fabio Paratici confirms negotiations with Barcelona to swap Arthur Melo with Miralem Pjanic, but ‘both players have to be convinced.’

Multiple sources in Italy and Spain are confident the deal would’ve already been done had Arthur not put the brakes on, as the Brazilian is refusing to leave Camp Nou.

“We have spoken frequently with Barcelona, but at this moment all the teams are playing important games, so we preferred to bypass this period,” Paratici told Sky Sport Italia.

Bordalas: 'Inter are like Real and Barca'

Getafe coach Jose Bordalas looks ahead to the clash with Inter in the Europa League and claims the Nerazzurri are the Italian equivalent to Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The match in August will be a single knock-out match between Inter and Getafe in Germany, as UEFA has decided to scrap the two-legged system to decide who goes through to the last eight.

“In the end it will be like this and we will face it with the utmost commitment as soon as it arrives, as we would have prepared for the eventual two-legged trip,” he said in a press conference.

Arthur now open to Pjanic exchange

Multiple sources claim Arthur Melo is opening up to a Juventus transfer, in exchange for cash plus Miralem Pjanic to Barcelona, but a deadline looms.

The deal arguably would’ve been done weeks ago had Arthur not dug his heels in and refused to leave Camp Nou.

However, after Barcelona tried to explain to him that he wouldn’t get much playing time, as confirmed by the few games we’ve had since the lockdown ended, it appears as if they’ve been able to convince him.

A statement today confirmed De Jong has a tear to the soleus of his right leg and “the evolution of the injury will condition the player’s availability.”
