Juve: Jorginho no, Emerson maybe

Juventus continue discussions with Chelsea, as while Miralem Pjanic won’t swap places with Jorginho, the Bianconeri are still targeting Emerson Palmieri.

According to Calciomercato.com and SunSport, the Premier League side turned down the option of a player exchange for Jorginho, as they would prefer to receive €40-50m in cash.

There is more leeway when it comes to full-back Emerson, as Tuttosport point out he is not a regular in Frank Lampard’s team and could therefore be allowed to leave this summer.

Tebas 'barely noticed' Ronaldo exit

Liga President Javier Tebas claims they ‘barely noticed’ Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure for Juventus and Serie A. ‘Only Leo Messi is different, he’s the best player in history.’

Ronaldo and Messi had duelled for the Spanish title at Real Madrid and Barcelona for many years, but CR7 moved on to Turin in 2018.

“It certainly irritated the Real Madrid fans, but his absence was barely noticed at a league level, because the Liga brand transcends individual players,” Tebas told RAC1.

The Nerazzurri appeared to be ready to replace him with Vidal, who continues to drop hints of a reunion with Antonio Conte.
