Juve offer Rugani to Barcelona?

After Roma and Monaco interest, Juventus are hoping that Barcelona still consider Daniele Rugani a potential signing.

The 25-year-old centre-back is no longer in Juve’s plans after the arrival of Matthijs de Ligt and Merih Demiral.

He has been in talks with Roma and Monaco, with a €30m asking price potentially spread out into €5m loan with obligation to buy for another €25m.

Dzeko changes everything on the market

Edin Dzeko’s surprise contract extension with Roma has a big knock-on effect for Inter, Napoli, Juventus, PSG, Mauro Icardi, Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain.

Dzeko had clearly been, along with Romelu Lukaku, the first name on Antonio Conte’s wish-list when he took over at Inter this summer.

His decision to commit himself to the Giallorossi until June 2022 effectively ruins the domino effect of strikers that had been expected to take place.

Inter objective Vidal given €20m tag

Barcelona are prepared to sell Arturo Vidal for €20m, according to Catalan paper Sport, with Inter certainly interested.

The Chile international is now 32 years old and would relish the opportunity to reunite with his former Juventus Coach Antonio Conte.

His contract with Barcelona runs to June 2021, as he only made the €18m move from Bayern Munich last summer.

According to Sport, Vidal is potentially on the transfer market if someone meets the €20m asking price.

Ronaldo up for UEFA award

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo is up for UEFA’s Men’s Player of the Year award with Lionel Messi and Virgil van Dijk.

Ronaldo is recognised for his six-goal haul in the Champions League last season, memorably firing Juve into the quarter-finals with a hat-trick against Atletico Madrid.

He is joined on the podium by long-time rival Messi and Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk, who helped the Reds win the competition and is aiming to become the first-ever defender to receive the accolade.

Inter back in for Rakitic?

Inter are reportedly back in for Ivan Rakitic, but Barcelona want €50m for the midfielder.

Inter were thought to be targeting Arturo Vidal, but Sport claims it is Rakitic they are ‘pressing’ to sign.

The Croat has been linked with the Nerazzurri for several months, and new boss Antonio Conte is keen to further add to his midfield options.

He is no longer among the first names on Barca’s teamsheet following the arrival of Frenkie de Jong, but the newspaper warns his club will only sell him for €50m.

Napoli and linesman bow to Barcelona

Napoli played a very even first half, but conceded four in an 18-minute spell – two of which were clearly offside – against Barcelona.

This was the second leg of the inaugural La Liga-Serie A Cup, as Barca won 2-1 in Miami on Wednesday night. Arkadiusz Milik was named in the starting XI, but pulled out during the warm-up with a muscular issue and made way for Jose Callejon.

Antoine Griezmann thought he simply had to score when allowed to control a pull-back and pick his spot from seven yards, but drilled wide.
