The 27-year-old Argentine scored 14 goals with three assists in 19 Primera Division appearances this season.
He only joined Boca a year ago from Club America in Mexico for €4.4m.

“There are various clubs in Italy who showed an interest in recent months, but I can confirm that the most concrete option at this moment is Roma.
“Benedetto is a centre-forward, very quick, who can also play as a support striker. He could be adapted to other forward roles too, but principally he is a centre-forward.
“I think Dario is more than ready for a new adventure in a different league. He is 27 years old and I feel at the peak of his powers.
“Currently the valuation won’t go under €15-20m, then obviously that can change during the negotiation process. Over the next few days the market will open and we can move from simply liking the player to actual talks with Roma.”
