Milan striker Gianluca Lapadula arrived for his Genoa medical and confessed “they’ve wanted me for a year.”

The former Pescara forward is due to complete his transfer, an initial loan for €2m with €11m obligation to buy.

“I am very happy,” Lapadula told Sky Sport Italia as he arrived at the Istituto Il Baluardo in Genoa.

“I am very happy,” Lapadula told Sky Sport Italia as he arrived at the Istituto Il Baluardo in Genoa.

“I’m certainly pleased to be here and hope to do well for this team. I said yes to Genoa because they’ve wanted me for a year.”

He is due to sign a five-year contract believed to be worth €1.5m per season.
