Milan have reportedly opened talks with Barcelona over the possibility of signing midfielder Rafinha.

According to Calciomercato.com, Rafinha could be Milan’s “last shot” in the transfer market this summer as he represents “an opportunity they would gladly take.”

The website explains the Rossoneri have proposed a season-long loan for the Brazilian, with an option to buy next summer.

Barca have yet to respond to the offer, but the 24-year-old is said to be “willing” to discuss personal terms with Milan.

Rafinha is the younger brother of Bayern Munich’s Thiago Alcantara and has spent the last three seasons in the Blaugrana’s first team.

However, he plays for Brazil unlike his sibling – whose allegiance lies with Spain – and has struggled with injuries since rupturing his ACL against Roma in 2015.
