With these calculations, there were three undersold players in the 20 most expensive transfers of the summer and two of them were from Roma.
Salah was sold for a club record €50m, but Liverpool should’ve paid closer to €69.4m, according to the Football Observatory.
Similarly, Chelsea shelled out €39m for Rudiger when he was valued at €54.2m.
Meanwhile, Roma paid €21m more than was necessary for Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick, as he was valued at €21m and the Blucerchiati pocketed €42m.
Davide Zappacosta was overpaid by €18.2m by Chelsea from Torino, while Inter paid €16.3m too much for Dalbert from Nice and €13.6m over for Samp defender Milan Skriniar.
