Sampdoria-Roma has been called off due to a weather warning, but there are concerns for four other Sunday Serie A games.
The Marassi match was due to kick off this evening, but was postponed by the Genoa council after an Orange Alert weather warning was issued.
Storms and flash floods are expected all over northern and central Italy over the next 48 hours.
This means Samp-Roma might not be the only Serie A game called off or abandoned due to the conditions.
Others said to be at risk are Atalanta-Sassuolo, Verona-Fiorentina, Lazio-Milan and Udinese-Genoa.
Meteorologists predict heavy rainfall in Bergamo, Verona, Rome and Udine.
