Real Madrid are reportedly weighing up a sensational move for Milan defender Leonardo Bonucci in January.

Fichajes.net cites a report on OKDiario, which states Milan’s “delicate sporting situation” makes it possible that Bonucci “would welcome another transfer” and “do everything possible to force his departure from the club”, in the event Madrid come calling.

The websites explain Los Blancos are intrigued by his vast experience, “physical and technical ability”, Champions League eligibility and absence at the World Cup, which would let them “squeeze the maximum from him” towards the end of the campaign.

However, despite doubts over Milan’s ownership, they warn taking him to the Santiago Bernabeu is “not simple or cheap” as the Rossoneri will only consider selling him for at least the €40m they paid Juventus last summer.
