“Many of their players arrived when I was there. We’d built an important squad: I’m thinking Brozovic, Miranda, Perisic and even Kondogbia, one of the best players in La Liga this season.

“Regrets? No. Sometimes you need dignity, and if things don’t go well, you need the courage to make a change.

“Scudetto? It’ll be contested by those currently near the top if they stay up there. Juve? They never died.”
