The Giallorossi had to resubmit plans for the new Stadio della Roma, which they plan to build in the Tor di Valle area of the city.

The new plans included improved transport links and lower buildings, and a decision is expected today.

If they get the green light, they hope to lay the first stone next year and open the new stadium for the 2021-22 stadium at the latest.

“I hope a yes arrives for the Stadio della Roma,” Malago told ANSA.

“After so many years of planning and constructing the project, it would be a bombshell if it wasn’t realised.

“Even if I know the Conferenza dei Servizi has many actors, I have a fair knowledge of the subject and I hope and would like for all the critical elements to be overcome.

“We wait with curiosity and also optimism, from the very first day my opinion has always been that clubs need to have a stadium which they own to build a winning path for the future.”
