“It’s a wonderful sensation, especially as I’ll also be facing my old friends Parma,” the midfielder told Milan TV.

“It’ll be a special game and I hope to do well. Wearing the Milan jersey is always special and it’s natural you come in 100 per cent motivated.

“Now I want to give my contribution and help the team. I have a great rapport with everyone in the locker room and try to be positive.

“You create a strong bond when everyone understands their role and what they can bring to the table. I knew I wouldn’t be a first choice here, but I found my place by always staying positive.”
