Massimo Ferrero is reported to be in talks to sell Sampdoria to an American group, with club legend Gianluca Vialli involved.
According to La Repubblica newspaper, President Ferrero will meet with the American investors on Wednesday in London.
He’ll be accompanied by vice-presidents Paolo Fiorentino and Antonio Romei, but was introduced to the potential buyers by former Samp hero Vialli.
It’s reported Vialli is in line to take over as Sampdoria President or team manager and represent the company.

Ferrero wants at least €100m to sell the Serie A club and the presence of Fiorentino, who only joined the Board of Directors last week, raises some eyebrows.
That is because Fiorentino helped negotiate James Pallotta’s takeover of Roma in 2014.
