The Orobici were in this tournament for the first time in their history after finishing third in Serie A last season, but were given a rude awakening in Zagreb.
“It’s difficult to explain what happened,” Gomez told Sky Sport Italia.

“It’s difficult to explain what happened,” Gomez told Sky Sport Italia.
“We evidently did not prepare in the right way for this game, because we didn’t expect Dinamo to be so intensive and aggressive all over the park.
“Each of us must be responsible for what happens on the pitch. We must continue improving, because we can’t just rest on the laurels of what we did last season. We’ve got to keep learning and developing as a team.”
