Bad news for Lazio, as medical staff warn the injury Miroslav Klose picked up today “unfortunately does not seem to be minor.”
The German international pulled up 20 minutes into today’s friendly test against the youth team with a muscular problem.
“He will not be available on Sunday against Cagliari,” medic Stefano Salvatori told Lazio Style Radio.
“Unfortunately, it does not seem to be minor, but we cannot evaluate the exact extent of the damage right now. Over the next few days, more tests will give us a better picture.”
There are fears of a lesion or thigh strain, which would rule Klose out of action for around three weeks.
That would probably rule the hitman out of the big Serie A clashes with Napoli and Juventus.
