Serse Cosmi urges Lecce to maintain their amazing momentum against Napoli, but fears “the final sprint could be decided by the psychological approach.”
The Salentini are now only two points adrift of safety and are setting off panic among teams who assumed they were safe.
“Of course everyone knows how strong Napoli are, but in difficult moments anything can happen,” said Cosmi.
“As far as we are concerned, I am not worried about the physical fitness of my team going into the last few rounds. The final sprint could, however, be decided by the psychological approach of sides.
“Tomorrow I expect to find opponents who want to react to the latest setbacks. It says a great deal that their main problem right now is deciding whether or not to rest Edinson Cavani.
“As I said many times before, I don’t like making appeals, but I think our team proved something and the fans understood that. Tomorrow is a very difficult match and the help of our fans could be decisive, because we certainly will go through tough moments.”
