UEFA President Michel Platini praised his former Juventus teammate Cesare Prandelli. “I’m not surprised he became a Coach.”
The pair played together in Turin in the 1980s and will meet again when Prandelli leads Italy to Euro 2012 in Ukraine and Poland this summer.
“Cesare was already used to sitting on a bench at Juventus,” joked Platini in reference to the little playing time he got.
“When someone is 25 it’s difficult to say what they’ll be doing when they hit 40, but I’m not surprised Cesare became a Coach – a very good Coach, too.”
