Now that Zdenek Zeman has confirmed his deal with Roma, Pescara admit Gian Piero Gasperini “is on the list” of potential replacements.
Zeman announced in Saturday’s press conference that he would be leading the Giallorossi next season, despite helping Pescara to promotion from Serie B.
“Zeman is going to Roma because he made the decision with his heart, as it was always his dream to return there,” added director of sport Daniele Delli Carri.
“We are tracking several different Coaches and nobody is in pole position. We must try to continue the project that Zeman put in place.
“Gasperini? Yes, he is on the list. The important thing is to choose a Coach who shares Zeman’s football philosophy.”
Gasperini has been out of work since he was fired just five games into his tenure at Inter this season.
The ex-Genoa tactician plays with the 3-4-3 system, while another candidate is thought to be former Fiorentina boss Delio Rossi.
