Inter consider Gago swoop

Inter could move for Fernando Gago if they can convince Real Madrid to accept a reduced fee for their transfer-listed player.

The Argentine midfielder spent last year on loan at Roma, but he is reportedly too expensive for the Giallorossi to keep.

Gago earns €3.7m from Real and although Roma paid half throughout his loan, they can’t afford to finance a permanent deal. Inter may also be reluctant to pay Gago a similar wage, but could offer him a way out of the Bernabeu.

Real bought the 26-year-old for €25m, but their keenness to offload him might tempt the Nerazzurri into making a bid.
