Nicolas Burdisso declares that Roma have the potential and the attitude ready to challenge for some silverware in 2012-13.
The defender, who is back in training with the squad on their pre-season retreat after a lengthy absence through knee ligament damage, is determined that the Giallorossi recognise their potential for next term.
“We are Roma, a great team and we want to be championship protagonists, fighting all the way to win something,” declared Burdisso to reporters today.
“Roma can progress so much, perhaps like no other team. Maybe we’re not at the same level as Juventus or Milan, who fought for the last title, but I think we are a strong team, we have many young players who can grow and make that leap in quality.
“Nobody has the players and the potential to grow like Roma. Last year we made some bad mistakes and learned a lot. Now we cannot go wrong, we want to spend the year as protagonists.”
