Giuseppe Sannino saw “encouraging signs” after Paulo Dybala scored his first goal in a Palermo jersey.
The Argentine talent was one of those on target during a 6-0 friendly victory over the local Venosta side.
He was sent through by Eran Zahavi’s pass and chipped the on-rushing goalkeeper with a delicate left-foot finish.
Fabrizio Miccoli and Franco Vazquez netted twice each, while Nicolas Bertolo also got on the scoresheet.
“I am happy, as my staff and I continue to see encouraging signs,” said Coach Sannino.
“The lads tried to replicate the movements we tried in training, such as playing the ball down the flanks and seeking one-touch passes.”
