Francesco Totti says current Coach Zdenek Zeman “is the best along with Luciano Spalletti,” but feels the Roma fans “massacre you.”

The Giallorossi are currently on their American tour, beating the El Salvador national team 2-1 last night, and the captain spoke to Fox Soccer.

“The Coaches I appreciated the most are Zeman and Spalletti, because they were concentrated on attacking tactics and are two well-prepared bosses.

“I share Zeman’s vision of attacking football and his style is different to anyone else’s. If I had to name players I’d like to bring in, then obviously I’d say world class ones, but I know the club is working hard to sign promising young talents for the present and future.

“Roma is a marvellous city, but a difficult one when it comes to playing football, as they massacre you the moment anything goes wrong.”

Totti is one of the few club symbols left and continues to play for his hometown club, even though he has retired from international duty.

“It’s not the same thing. I grew up at Roma. It was my dream and my ambition to wear the jersey and the captain’s armband. I won a Scudetto and several trophies with Roma and those are memories I will always keep.

“I decided to retire from the Italy side after winning the World Cup, because that was the ultimate achievement anyone could have for a nation.”
