Giorgi Chanturia, known as ‘the Georgian Leo Messi,’ has confirmed he “received an offer from Genoa.”
The 19-year-old is currently plying his trade for Dutch side Vitesse and gave an interview to the Secolo XIX newspaper.
“I spoke to Genoa and received their offer,” he said. “Now I want to talk to Merab Jordania, the owner of Vitesse, to understand what my future will be.”
Nicknamed the ‘Georgian Leo Messi,’ Chanturia is surprisingly 1.81m tall.
His name had already been linked with Genoa a couple of months ago, as he is a wide attacker or winger who tends to suit a trident.
Chanturia had a brief spell at Barcelona’s Juvenil B side in 2009-10, scoring 11 goals.
