Cagliari have officially loaned midfielder Rui Sampaio to Portuguese club Olhanense for this season.

The Sardinian website confirmed a one-year loan deal has been agreed.

It is a return to his homeland for Rui Sampaio, the 25-year-old who only joined Cagliari last summer from Beira-Mar.

The midfielder managed only six Serie A appearances and one in the Coppa Italia, scoring one goal.
