Miroslav Klose hails Lazio Coach Vladimir Petkovic, targets the Scudetto and admits “Tottenham came looking for me” this summer.
The German international hitman confessed he had received a big offer from the Premier League in recent weeks.
“Tottenham came looking for me, but I signed for Lazio until 2014 and I intend to respect that contract,” he told Sportal.it.
“Petkovic is one of the greats. The Scudetto will be difficult, but I can’t yet say how far we will go. Now we must focus on Chievo, then there will be the Europa League fixtures.”
Klose also shrugged off injury concerns after international duty.
“It’s all fine, I just got a couple of nasty knocks, but I am not worried by the ankle or my hand.”
The striker will wear a special protective cast on his left hand during Sunday’s lunchtime Serie A kick-off with Chievo.
