Roma midfielder Michael Bradley's agent claims he is close to a return, but he’ll miss Cagliari along with Francesco Totti, Daniele De Rossi and Pablo Osvaldo.
Totti has suffered a muscle strain in his right thigh and did not participate in training today.
Also on the sidelines this afternoon were De Rossi, still recovering from a muscle strain on international duty, striker Osvaldo and Dodo.
As a result, Zdenek Zeman tested out a new trident attack made up of Nico Lopez, Erik Lamela and Mattia Destro.
American international midfielder Bradley did make his return to training after a long injury lay-off, as he has only been able to play one game for Roma since arriving from Chievo in the summer.
“Michael is improving day-by-day,” agent Alberto Faccini told gazzettagiallorossa.it.
“We won't see him on the pitch though, until the medical team and the Coach say so.
“He is more convinced than ever that he made the right choice over the summer. He has signed for four years, and on both sides there is a desire to see him do well.”
