Fiorentina have blasted reports Roma have offered Nicolas Burdisso plus cash for Facundo Roncaglia.

The rumours were circulating around the media this morning that Roncaglia, already a fan favourite in Florence, was going to strengthen Zdenek Zeman’s back line.

The deal is thought to be worth a total of €5m, including Argentine centre-back Burdisso.

“There is not even the need to deny this,” snapped Fiorentina director of sport Daniele Pradè.

“These are negotiations that simply do not exist.”
