Siena lost again despite the debut of new Coach Beppe Iachini and President Massimo Mezzaroma admits “everything is going wrong.”

The Tuscans sacked Serse Cosmi last weekend and have lost both their games under the new boss in the Coppa Italia and Serie A.

“We are the victims of incidents, as at the moment everything is going wrong and the defeat to Napoli was unjust,” complained the President.

“Yes, it is the fourth consecutive defeat, but with four very different performances. We at least deserved a point this time.”

Christian Maggio broke the deadlock in the final minutes, followed by an Edinson Cavani penalty in the 2-0 result.

“In all honesty, I cannot explain this defeat. We played on a par with Napoli and didn’t create that many chances, but I saw an organised side on the field.

“Iachini has just arrived, so the break will certainly be useful for him to put across his ideas. I’ll think about the transfer market once the rage has died down.”

President Mezzaroma also aimed a sideswipe at Napoli after Saturday’s defeat.

“Siena never complained about referees, but here the same situations were treated completely differently with regards to the two teams. Looking at Cavani’s handling offence and the Emanuele Calaiò incident, even the calmest person would lose their temper.”
