Parma have confirmed that talks regarding a Cristian Zaccardo-Djamel Mesbah swap with Milan have collapsed.
The two clubs did discuss the possibility of exchanging defenders before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
However, it appears that no agreement could be reached between the two Serie A sides.
“The negotiations regarding the Zaccardo-Mesbah swap are definitely over,” President Tommaso Ghirardi said on Friday.
“If someone wants Zaccardo now then they’ll have to come to us and ask for him.”
Ghirardi also dismissed rumours that struggling Genoa wanted to sign defender Gabriel Paletta this month.
“Genoa don’t need him,” Ghirardi responded.
