Palermo make Lafferty offer

Palermo have reportedly offered asked to take Sion striker Kyle Lafferty on loan with option to buy for a total €4m.

The 25-year-old Northern Ireland international only joined Swiss side Sion in July 2012, when he was released from Glasgow Rangers due to their bankruptcy.

He has also played for Ballinamallard United, Burnley and Darlington.

According to Italian news sources, Palermo have put in an offer of €500,000 to take Lafferty on loan for the next five months with an option to buy for a further €3.5m.

However, Sion are not prepared to release the centre-forward on a temporary deal, so there will be another meeting tomorrow.
