Giampaolo Pazzini is expected to miss this week’s match with Cagliari after the Milan striker underwent tests for a thigh injury.
Pazzini pulled out during the warm-up for the 2-1 win over Udinese on Sunday evening, leaving his spot in the starting XI to Mario Balotelli.
Milan today released a statement confirming he had undergone tests that showed a problem in the right adductor muscle.
“At the end of this week there will be more medical tests on the player.”
This suggests he is highly unlikely to be fit for Sunday’s Serie A game with Cagliari.
