Momo Sissoko has revealed why he decided to join Fiorentina from Paris Saint-Germain in January.
The midfielder was struggling for action in France, thus he has opted for a return to Italy after a previous spell in Serie A with Juventus.
“I immediately liked the project which was presented to me,” the Mali international said on his arrival after his stint at the Africa Cup of Nations.
“It’s a serious and well constructed one. I’m happy to be here. We’re a strong team and I hope we’ll do well.
“I’ll look to give my maximum is order to do my best in this shirt. The Coach and my teammates have given me a warm welcome.”
The former Liverpool man, now 28, has joined the Tuscan club on loan for the rest of the season.
Fiorentina are sixth in Serie A, five points behind the last remaining Champions League spot.
