Muntari eyes Champions League glory

Sulley Muntari believes Milan can win the Champions League this season should they finish off Barcelona.

The Diavolo have a 2-0 advantage over the tournament favourites ahead of the second leg of their last 16 tie.

“Can we win the Champions League? Everything is possible and we want to give it a go,” the Ghana international noted.

“For now we have to think about Serie A and then we need to go to Spain and ensure qualification for the next round.”

Barcelona also lost to Real Madrid this week, sparking suggestions that their dominant cycle in the European game may be coming to an end.

“I don’t think their era is over,” the former Inter midfielder continued. “They still have a lot of champions in their side.”

Milan are next in action against Lazio and Muntari is hungry to get back to wining ways after the 1-1 with Inter.

“We should have won the Milan derby and taken home the points,” he continued. “We’re angry about that.”
