This evening’s Serie A match between Sampdoria and Inter has been called off due to flood warnings in Genoa.
The game had been due to kick off at 19.45 GMT this evening at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, commonly referred to as Marassi.
However, local authorities released an extreme weather warning on Saturday that would start from 17.00 GMT in the city.
Heavy rain and snow are expected in Genoa, which could lead to flash floods, so people are advised to stay off the roads.
Genoa has a history of flash floods in recent years, which have caused several deaths and millions of euros in damages.
There are also concerns over tonight’s Torino-Lazio game, as heavy snowfall is expected in Turin.
