Mathieu Flamini has thanked goalkeeper Christian Abbiati for keeping Milan’s Champions League dream alive.
The Rossoneri moved four points clear of Fiorentina on Sunday thanks to a late 1-0 win over Torino at San Siro.
However, before Mario Balotelli’s winning strike, Abbiati made a number of fine interventions at the other end of the pitch.
“Abbiati made the difference with his saves,” the Frenchman commented. “It was extraordinary stuff, he’s a great ‘keeper…
“It was important to win to get some distance on Fiorentina. Torino closed up very well and defended well. It was tough to get the goal.”
