Sampdoria President Edoardo Garrone has confirmed that Delio Rossi will still be in charge next season.
The Bluerchiati have endured a disappointed campaign, currently sitting in 15th place, just seven points above relegation.
But the club's owner has insisted that the tactician will stay, whilst also commenting on Roberto Mancini's sacking from Manchester City.
“As far as I can confirm, Delio Rossi will remain at the helm of Sampdoria next year,” he told reporters.
“He has yet to put pen-to-paper, so I cannot say for absolute certain.
“It would be wrong of us to dream about having Mancini on the bench. It is impossible.”
