Parma approach Saponara

Milan have already bought half of Azzurrini starlet Riccardo Saponara, but now Parma want the other 50 per cent from Empoli.

The winger impressed in the European Under-21 Championships and scored a goal in the 4-0 win over Israel.

This summer Milan announced they had beat the competition to buy out half of his contract from Serie B team Empoli and he will be playing at San Siro next season.

However, according to Tuttosport, Parma have now approached Empoli to buy up the other 50 per cent of his registration.

This situation would mean that next summer Milan and Parma would need to negotiate over whether to renew the co-ownership deal or have one club buy the other out.
