The agent of Alberto Gilardino has rejected transfer speculation linking his client with a move to Villarreal.
“There has been no contact at all with them,” Beppe Bozzo told Sport Italia. “At this moment in time I can deny all of those stories.
“Gilardino’s future has yet to be defined.”
The Italian international, who will start against Spain tonight in the absence of the injured Mario Balotelli, spent last season on loan at Bologna from Genoa.
The former Parma, Milan and Fiorentina centre-forward, who scored 13 League goals in 2012-13, has been linked with a possible move to Inter.
