New Chievo boss Giuseppe Sannino has admitted he is excited to get started at the Bentegodi.
The 56-year-old was officially announced on Monday as Eugenio Corini's successor, and the former Palermo man has claimed that the Gialloblu went all-out to get him.
“Chievo were one of the first teams to contact me,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“They really put a strong emphasis on me.
“[President Luca] Campedelli and [sporting director Giovanni] Sartori are serious people.
“Staying in Serie A was the best option for me.
“I know the team is followed by a lot of people in the city of Verona, but I am calm.”
