Former Milan captain Massimo Ambrosini has officially signed a one-year contract with Fiorentina.
“ACF Fiorentina has completed the signing of midfielder Massimo Ambrosini on a permanent contract, the former Italy midfielder putting pen to paper on a one-year deal until 30 June 2014,” read a statement.
“Ambrosini has acquired a wealth of experience during a distinguished career, winning one Club World Cup, two Champions League trophies, two European Super Cups, four Serie A titles, one Coppa Italia and two Italian Super Cups.”
The 36-year-old was a free agent after his contract with Milan was allowed to expire, ending 17 years at the club.
