It may take a little time for Napoli to fire on all cylinders, former Azzurri boss Emiliano Mondonico has warned.
The Azzurri are widely expected to be Juventus’ biggest Scudetto challengers this season, but the 66-year-old is remaining cautious.
“Bringing in a new Coach and changing a few things in the side will lead to a number of initial difficulties,” Mondonico told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“Rafael Benitez is weighing up a few things right now to make sure that his side will be as ready as possible for the start of the season.”
Benitez, who spent most of last season at Chelsea, has replaced Walter Mazzarri at the Stadio San Paolo this summer.
Mazzarri, who led the Azzurri to second in the championship last term, left at the end of his contract to join Inter.
