Andrea Ranocchia is reportedly ready to extend his contract at Inter – but only in exchange for an improved salary.
The centre-back is tied to the outfit until June 2015, but both parties are keen on renewing their relationship.
However, there may be a stumbling block given the player’s alleged salary demands to continue his career at San Siro.
The 25-year-old, signed from Genoa in January 2011, currently earns approximately €2m a season after tax. It is being claimed he wants to net €3m a campaign.
Ranocchia, capped 10 times by Italy, has scored four goals in 63 League games for the Beneamata since his arrival.
It is understood Milan and Juventus are keeping a close eye on his contract situation at the Giuseppe Meazza.
If no agreement is reached, Ranocchia could be sold next summer rather than potentially be lost on a Bosman in 2015.
