Donadoni: 'Transfer deadline irritating'

Roberto Donadoni is trying to focus Parma on Udinese as he complains the extended transfer session is “irritating.”

“Udinese have shown in the recent past that they are a good side. Knowing how strong they are and the desire to prove themselves that they will have after the Europa League elimination, we will have to be very wary,” said Donadoni.

“If we play with the same grit I saw a week ago against Chievo, then we can do well.”

Defender Gabriel Paletta has still not recovered, but new buy Mory Kone is in the squad after completing his move from Le Mans.

The transfer deadline has been extended in Serie A this year to midnight on September 2.

“Jaime Valdes will not leave and Walter Gargano is certainly not his replacement, as they have different characteristics.

“Having the transfer market open when the season has already started is irritating and many of my colleagues agree with me on that.

“It is absurd that after two weeks from the start of the competition we are still discussing transfers.”
