Juan Manuel Vargas is happy to again be at the disposal of Fiorentina after a proposed summer move to Livorno collapsed.
The Peruvian international is back in Tuscany after he spent last season on loan at Genoa where he made 20 Serie A appearances.
“I’m really happy to have remained in Florence,” the former Colon and Catania player commented. “They want me there and I’m content.
“I don’t know if I will become a regular starter, but I will always give 100 per cent for the side and, if I don’t get into the team, I will support them from the bench.”
The wide-player joined the Viola in 2008 from Catania for a fee of €12m. The 29-year-old’s contract will expire next summer.
