Chievo showing Sannino patience

Bottom of the table Chievo Verona say they have no immediate plans to consider the position of Coach Giuseppe Sannino.

The latter replaced Eugenio Corini at the club in the summer after opting against remaining with relegated Palermo.

However, the Flying Donkeys have yet to get their season off the ground after collecting just four points from the 27 available.

“We are going forward with Sannino,” Chievo sporting director Giovanni Sartori told Rete Sport on Wednesday.

“We don’t know what will happen in the future, but we will continue with him for the time being,” added the official.

“He has not made any major mistakes so far.

“Unfortunately, results do tend to influence things sometimes, but we don’t want to be influenced right now.”

Chievo face a daunting trip to Roma on Thursday, a side who have won all nine of their League games so far this term.
