Eugenio Corini lamented Chievo’s lack of luck in losing to Fiorentina, whilst asserting focus now switches to Serie A.
The Flying Donkeys were yesterday evening eliminated from the Coppa Italia at the Round of 16 stage, falling 2-0 to La Viola.
“The boys played a good game, we were unlucky in certain episodes because we conceded the first goal when we were down to 10 men and then saw that doubled just 30 second before half-time,” considered Corini afterwards.
“My team has tried, whilst with even numbers the objective was to close out the spaces and then look to get into the game, it is too bad, we did not succeed.
“Now we have to concentrate on the League. We have a great desire to avoid relegation, we are re-motivated, but there remains a lot of work to do.”
